What is a Bengal cat?

The Bengal is a happy cross between the wild Bengal cat and the domestic cat. It is a unique breed with a dynamic and confident character. These cats wear the leopard coat which denotes their rather wild origin while being docile and affectionate, traits known to the domestic cat. The Bengal walks around with his noble and confident posture.

Origins of the Bengal Cat

Mrs. Jean Mill, a determined breeder from California, wanted to create a cat that had the physique of a leopard and the docile character of a domestic cat. It was in 1963 that she arrived there and in 1983 that the breed was recognized by TICA. Since that time, there is an impressive variety of dresses that have spread across the world.
